Scottish Food Night 2008
Thursday 13th March 2008 will always be remembered in the hearts and tummies of some for our first ever Scottish Food Night. Austin and the team of chefs at the Intercontinental put on a wonderful spread of Scottish delicacies such as Haggis, Stovies, Mince and Tatties, Steak Pie and Scotch Eggs (and barely a vegetable in sight!).
Once everyone had had their fill it was time to out some to shame with the Scottish themed quiz. The birthday cake bribes from the birthday boy Paul himself did nothing to help their last place position. Ross Hendry gallantly led the 'Dog Tired' team to victory winning themselves such prizes as two crates of Irn Bru, meal vouchers for the Crowne Plaza and Intercon and best of all some 35th Anniversary St Andrews Ball DVDs - not to be missed.
Andy the DJ then rounded off the evening with a selection of old and new tunes to work off some of the protein and carb fest enjoyed earlier in the evening.
A great night was had by all.
